Tyler received his degree in Mechanical Engineering through the co-op program at the University of Alberta. The program allowed him to gain hands-on experience across several industries, including OEM manufacturing, EPC work, and research and development. This early exposure to different technical environments helped shape his practical, design-focused approach to engineering.

Following graduation, Tyler followed his passion for mechanical design and product development. He has worked on the design of machines, pipe handling systems, downhole tools, test equipment, and other custom mechanical systems. His work has included concept development, detailed design, manufacturing support, testing, project coordination, and working closely with clients to turn ideas into functional equipment.

Tyler lives near Beaumont with his wife, Bev, and their two kids, Ella and Jax. Outside of work, he is usually spending time with his family, on the ball diamond, or in his woodshop. He is heavily involved in the local ball community as a Director with Beaumont Minor Baseball, a coach for both baseball and softball, and still plays baseball himself.
